On Monday, June 28th, West Lawn UMC looks forward to relieving worshipers of masking mandates.  UNTIL THAT TIME we continue to ask worshipers to consider wearing a mask while in buildings on our church campus.  We do this so as not to promote behavior that is divisive, and to protect all who desire to worship with us.  If Pennsylvania lifts the mask mandate sooner, we will consider earlier relief, as well.

It is our hope that we will continue to demonstrate the teachings of Jesus and Love Our Neighbors as we love ourselves.  We would encourage everyone to consider others before rushing to judgment or action that is focused solely on one’s own preferences. This means, we will continue to be sensitive to those who continue to choose to wear a mask, and West Lawn UMC will continue to welcome masked worshipers.  While we will continue to encourage anyone who is able, to get the Covid-19 vaccine, our focus will remain on caring for ALL people: for those vaccinated, for those who cannot be vaccinated because of age or health conditions, and those who choose not to receive the vaccination that is available to them.

Finally, we want to remind you of our online opportunities for worship and connection.  We were live streaming our worship services before the pandemic, and we believe that online worship will continue to be a significant part of our Christian community and outreach. As always, we ask that if you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, that you kindly stay home and worship with us via live stream until you are feeling better.

We wish you all well and pray that you may remain safe and virus-free as we come to the end of this difficult time of pandemic.  We want to extend an enormous thank you for your support over the last 16 months as we worked diligently to navigate these new and challenging waters. Thank you for your patience, for your caring for the needs and feelings of others, and for your prayers.  We praise God that we are seeing a light at the end of this dark pandemic tunnel and believe it to be an answer to our prayers. It continues to be a privilege to serve with you in and through this amazing church.
